STEP 1 – 

TestM Desktop System account access

  1. Click on the TestM Desktop System shortcut on your desktop
  2. After opening – type in your username and password in the login window and click on Log In
  3. After logging in to your account – click on the Set Wifi button
  4. When the window opens – enter the Wifi name and password and click on confirm

STEP 2 – 

Preparing the Cellular device for testing

  1. Place the technician SIM Card into the device
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Scroll down and tap on ABOUT PHONE
  4. Tap on SOFTWARE INFORMATION
  5. Tap 8 times on the BUILD NUMBER
  6. Enter the Lock Screen code if needed
  7. Confirm that a DEVELOPER MODE message has popped up
  8. Go back to Settings
  9. Scroll down and tap on Developer Options
  10. Scroll down and tap on USB DEBUGGING
  11. Allow USB DEBUGGING

STEP 3-

Testing the Cellular device using the TestM Desktop System

  1. Connect the device to the PC using a USB cable
  2. Wait until the system recognizes the device
    Click on OK if a USB DEBUGGING message pops up
  3. Wait until the system installs and opens the app automatically
    on the cellular device
  4. Allow all the relevant permissions for the app
  5. Proceed with all the tests according to the instructions
    provided by the app
  6. When you have completed all the tests – click on END
  7. * Some devices need to change their connection to  Transfer files mode in order to be recognized by the system.
    If the system still doesn’t recognize the device, please change to transfer photos.

STEP 4 – 

Printing report and deleting the app from the Cellular device

  1. Click on the Print icon on your computer
  2. Print the report

STEP 5 – 

Reverting the Cellular device to its original state

  1. Remove the USB cable from the device and the computer
  2. Remove the technician SIM Card from the device
  3. Go to settings
    Scroll down and tap on Developers settings
  4. Turn off the DEVELOPER MODE
  5. Go back to settings and make sure that
    the Developers Settings mode is gone
  6. Turn off the device
  7. Return it to the bag with the printed report attached

POSSIBLE ISSUES AND SOLUTIONS

  • The device is connected but not recognized by the system on the computer –
    Make sure the phone is open on Developer mode and Debug mode
    In addition, you can move the connection mode from Transfer Files to MIDI
  • What to do in the case of accidentally exiting the application during testing?
    The application is still open on the device – you can go back to it by pressing on the button that opens all the working apps on the device and tap on TestM or by tapping on the TestM icon in the Menu.
  • A Client claims to have a problem with the battery –
    Check the battery and processor by tapping back to the main menu on the app before completing the process and press on test
  • A client complains about problems with the GPS-
    Test the GPS by tapping back to the main menu on the app before completing the process and press on test
